Installing CrossWorks
Installing CrossWorks on Windows
To install your copy of CrossWorks on Windows:

Ensure that you have the appropriate administration privileges
to enable you to install application software and device drivers on
your computer.

If you have downloaded a self-extracting Windows .exe file containing
CrossWorks then just run the executable and click Setup to start the installer.

If you have received your copy of CrossWorks on CD/DVD-ROM, put
the installation disk into your machine and then start the
installation by running the Setup program which can be found
in the root installation directory.

Follow the installer's instructions until the installation is
complete.
To uninstall your copy of CrossWorks on Windows:

Start the uninstaller application by running the Uninstall
program which can be found in the installed version of CrossWork's
bin directory.
- Click Remove to uninstall CrossWorks.
Installing CrossWorks on macOS
To install your copy of CrossWorks on macOS:

Ensure that you have the appropriate administration privileges
to enable you to install application software on
your computer.

Download and open the Mac OS .dmg file containing the
CrossWorks installation and click on the Install CrossWorks
icon.

Follow the installer's instructions until the installation is
complete.
To uninstall your copy of CrossWorks on macOS:
- Drag the CrossWorks installation from the Applications folder
to the Mac OS Trash icon.
Installing CrossWorks on Linux
To install your copy of CrossWorks on Linux:

Ensure that you have the appropriate administration privileges
to enable you to install application software on
your computer.

Download the tar.gz file containing the CrossWorks installation.

Extract the archive by running tar xf archive_filename.tar.gz from
a Linux terminal. Note that the standard Linux GUI archive manager program that is
opened by clicking the tar.gz file doesn't always keep file
permissions therefore, if you use it, you may need to add execute
permissions to the installer program before running it.

From a Linux terminal, cd into the extracted archive's root directory then run
sudo ./install_crossworks. For more information, read the INSTALL.txt
file contained in the installation archive's root directory.
To uninstall your copy of CrossWorks on Linux:
- From a Linux terminal, cd to the CrossWork's bin directory and run sudo ./uninstall.
- Click Remove to uninstall CrossWorks.
